We are about the begin the review for our next app, ASVA The Monkey HD. The iOS app has been recently released in the App Store by the developer Slekrith Film. But before we continue, let’s enlighten the story behind the game so that you may know how important it is to rescue the monkey. Yes, the game features a monkey who was a part of a peaceful tribe of monkeys who lived in the hidden forests in Asia. One day, a source of light caught the eye of all but our lazy hero couldn’t control his curiosity and touched the light source. Immediately, he got captured in the darkness of a mysterious world. Now, he wants you to help him rescue from this place. So, if you have understood it properly, let’s begin.
The game requires you to help the monkey reach the crystals. These crystals are the path back to his home. But to reach those crystals, the monkey needs to jump off some tiles. But he can only move forward, left or right. No backward movement is allowed. Also, he has to cover all the tiles or otherwise, he will not be able to grab that crystal even if he reaches it. Remember that each tile disappears as you jump off of it. So, you better be cautious at each step of yours. Rules are simple but not the game.
The game expands around 6 different worlds: forest, waterfall, crystal, clouds, volcano and Iceland. There are over 90 different levels of exciting gameplay. There are three different modes: story, endless and survival where you have just one life to continue your journey. Though the first few levels are easy enough to be cleared by a teenager, as you progress, you feel the heat. That’s why; there are few magical items that you can buy at the start of each level to help you get through. The flash shows you the right way and dash takes you off the first 5 steps on its own. The undo crystal is very important and helpful as well. All these crystals can be bought in exchange of watermelons which you earn during your journey. You can also buy them via in-app purchases for $1.99.
The app uses swipe controls for the directional movement of the monkey. No movement is produced backward or diagonally. The graphics of the app are really awesome and amazing and this is one of the top paid apps in the market only due to its quality puzzles and beautiful graphics. The different worlds really differ a lot in their background texture and it was a nice experience having this adventurous journey.
The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later version. This one is optimized for iPhone 5 as well and is available for $0.99 in the App Store. This is a very fair price for all the features and the complete package. There is endless fun and adventure. You’ll be very happy after the deal. A must recommended for everyone.
