You all must have heard the term “Meditation”. It is a very renowned term meaning “Concentration” of your mind. It started as “Yoga” from India but is now practiced worldwide. It gives us a sense of relaxation and happiness. Meditation is of many different types according to the method you prefer. One of those methods is Transcendental Meditation. It uses a mantra or sound for practice. What we are showing you today is kind of similar but not the same. In fact, it is a modification of the practice introduced decades ago.  Let us show you what it is.

We are talking about the new iOS app, Mass meditation that has been developed by Zsolt Sarosi. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5. It is a social app that connects different meditation practitioners over the internet and helps them to capitalize on each other’s benefits. The whole process is as follows.

The app is not itself a source of meditation or something like that. In fact, it enables you to connect with different meditation practitioners around the world using the same app. It’s obvious that meditation often requires you to concentrate on a specific picture depending upon your mood. Now, as you select a picture, you can invite various other people to join you. Similarly, you can find many such meditation rooms with different moods. You can join anyone of them and invite others to yours.

Apart from social networking, the app also provides you with two beautiful songs which have been composed exclusively for this app. The sounds are high quality and enhance your meditation level. They are not simple songs that you can find on iTunes. Therefore, the app is worth a watch. The UI of the app is also very intuitive and swipe navigation allows for a better way to reach each and every corner. Also, you can join and leave a meditation room with just a swipe. You can set your time for the meditation and all new meditation rooms are available on your screen directly. Also, you can share your experiences on Facebook with your friends.

The app is available for $0.99 in the App Store. We won’t say that it’s one of the brilliant apps you’d find in the App Store. But the two songs and social connectivity are worth your price. The app developers have built a creative idea but we feel that some of you might not like it with the reason being that many of us meditate with closed eyes. So, the whole idea of mood is already washed out. Also, meditating with a picture on your iPhone in front of your eyes doesn’t seem to be much exciting. But the sound quality of the songs was amazing and we’d recommend every one of you to check it out.
