MedMory – Pill Reminder & Medication Reminder Review

Memory – it defines the power to remember but is far more a powerful tool when it comes to the story of excellence. We’ve never seen a better replacement to brain and there can’t be any because it is the generator of all our brilliant thoughts which have brought us to the world we live in. So when your memory becomes weak, it’s like all your memories are being dumped without any backup and all you can do is nothing. It’s still okay as you can save your memories in a camera, but if your memory can cost your life, nothing can pay for it. That’s the situation with most of the patients who forget to take their medicines on time which affects their health a lot. There can’t be a helping hand all the time, but there can be a phone placed nicely inside your pocket. So let’s use the second option!

Today we have another app called Medmory which can be considered to be made of two words: medicine and memory. The app has been developed by Sheldon Technology & Design. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.0 or later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

Everything is pretty simple and thanks to the intuitive UI that makes this app the first choice of the user for the given purpose. There are some pretty cool features apart from the traditional ones that readily make this app purpose specific. First, if you’re not able to even remember to take the medicine on time, how can someone expect from you to remember which medicine to take when? So the easy solution is that you can take a picture of the medicines so that every time the alarm rings up for the reminder, the image shows you the medicines needed to be taken at that time. You can obviously add the reminder for the required number of times as per the routine. Also, you can enter the dosage you have in stock and you’ll get notified each time the reminder rings up.

There are about 10 different alert tones as well as you can share your notes via email. There is another very useful feature that I really loved. Though most of us have medical insurance, but if you resemble some of the characteristics of Rachel from “Friends”, then this feature is bigger than a birthday gift for you. You will be investing nothing and the app developers provide you with 75% discount on all the medicines. I don’t think there is any harm in trying this offer with nothing at stake.

The app is available for free in the App Store. So the only thing now that stops you from getting this app in your phone is nothing. So, go for it before critical conditions become a part of your schedule.

Pros: intuitive UI; easy to use; reminders with photos; free.

Cons: nothing new out of the box.
