Overview of the top bingo apps for Android and iOS

If you only ever have time to play a few bingo games when you are waiting for the bus, while you’re commuting to work or you just prefer to lounge in your couch watching your favourite series while playing bingo, you know how important the mobile compatibility of any bingo site is. Luckily, it’s not hard to find a mobile bingo site any more. Quite the opposite – there are so many of them it’s hard to make a choice. So I decided to make an extensive research, compare the apps I find and offer you the best app for both players that use Android and those with iOS devices. Well, at least that was my plan initially.

Turns out, when it comes to Android there’s not a huge choice of native apps (honestly speaking, there are very few of them) and usually you would have to jump through a few hoops to get them. The reason is that Google Play Market does not allow any gambling apps. In the rare event that you find an operator which has developed a native Android app, you will have to download it from their site – meaning that you will have to change the settings of your phone, allow access by unrecognised sources and so on. To go through so much for an app you really really have to want it.

Luckily, there is an alternative – the mobile sites aka the web-app. This is supposed to be just a scaled down version of the PC site but at the same time it should be equally functional, at least when it comes to the premium operators. An advantage of the mobile page compared to a native app is that the first one does not require any personal information when using it. Have you noticed how most of the apps you install on your phone require access to your contacts, calendar, camera, location etc. Well, that’s not the case with the web apps. You just open an account and log in. One of the best Android web-apps we found is Gala’s. All their branded rooms are mobile-compatible, you can chat, deposit, take advantage of different promos – in short – you can do anything you normally do on their PC site. Even the newest addition to their bingo games selection – the 40-ball Rainbow Riches, has been adapted for the mobile users.

Regarding the iOS players, well you are just spoilt, aren’t you. After testing like a zillion apps, I have to admit it was hard for me to pick only one that I like. And still, I give the thumbs up to the Wink bingo iOS app. It is easy on the eye and yet very functional. There are many bingo rooms open throughout the day some of which offer free games. The cashier is also accessible and  you can even deposit by phone. Just call the support and they will handle your deposit quickly and easily. I even found this website that offers a special promo code, that can add £15 on top of the regular welcome bonus in their detailed review.

Mobile Bingo Pros: you have access to your favourite bingo games any time and anywhere
Mobile Bingo Cons: not all bingo sites have developed a fully functional mobile platform
