Pixit Chat – Cheer Up, Buddy !

Though technology is considered a boon by many of us, it’s still criticized by our elders for spoiling the human lives. They think that human life was better before science took over. Science takes the credit for reducing human effort and comforting our lives like never before. I don’t think that claim is questionable. But if we look at the situation carefully, I don’t think the elders are completely wrong either. We have the seeds that grow quickly but we don’t have the time to taste the fruits. We know when the latest edition of Need for Speed will come out in the store, but Hide & Seek seems to be a forgotten name. We’ve become so technology dependent that we no more talk to our friends living in the neighbourhood but rather chat with them. The old touch of friendship is lost and we got to bring it back!

pix1I think one thing that’s missing from almost all chat applications is humour (no emoji please!) and that too raw, unprocessed. So here we the iOS app called Pixit Chat developed by Craigpark Limited that promises to do the same. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 7.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

pix2Pixit Chat brings in GIFs that you can add to your usual text messages and the result is something very different. As soon as you start typing your message, a few suggestions will pop up at the bottom that you can choose from. If you want to emphasize on any particular word, select it and relevant suggestions will appear accordingly. So even if you’re just nodding for a simple yes, spice it up with an open jaw thumbs up to confirm.

Pixit Chat has the very popular feature of Group Chat where you can add as many people to a group as you want and what follows will be bigger than the big-bang. Everybody has friends that are always ready to giggle you up and when they are armed with the most powerful weapons with unlimited artillery, you can expect the level of damage to your funny bones.

pix3I really liked the app for its simplicity to use. As we use emoji right now, we have to go through a separate menu to choose from and there are limited options. So we end up getting bored after some time. But this app works quicker than the instant noodles. Moreover, the options are unexpected and so many in number that the stock is never ending. Talking about the GIFs, they are always spontaneously hilarious.

There’s no reason that one can find for rejecting this app. It’s always better than any of your conventional apps. But if you still haven’t made up your mind, I think the price tag will clear it up. Thi app is available for free in the App Store. So what do you think? And don’t worry for the elders; they love this one!

Pros: intuitive UI; easy to add GIFs; unlimited options; group chat; free.

Cons: none.
