Whether it’s the latest track from Eminem or any chartbuster from a debutant artist, everything is available on YouTube within fraction of seconds it is launched; or sometimes it may be even before that. We always have our eyes stuck to the YouTube channel of a celebrity or a TV show to get the latest updates. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5. As we mentioned above, the app will be combining some of the services together depending upon your choice and import them directly to your device.
Squrl is actually a video search engine. It has its own service as well as searches video from the others that you have selected such as YouTube, Netflix, Vimeo, AOL, etc. You don’t need to sign up or register. Just select your interests in the start and the app will show you all the related videos. Just add any service and your subscriptions will be imported as well. Then, all the videos are well sorted out under many different categories such as entertainment, music, sports, art & design, comedy and many more. We really liked the ‘cool blogs’ section as it really had some excellent blogs from users.
What the app excels in is combining integrating your social accounts for easy sharing of videos. Just login to any of your Facebook or Twitter accounts and you can see all the videos that your friends have suggested for you or the persons you are following. It’s really awesome as at least for the videos, you don’t have to rush anywhere else in the world.
The interface of the app is very friendly. The touch menu can be hidden and the UI utilizes both the navigational as well as swipe features for easy access to any video. Then, there is the powerful search tool which puts everything in front of you within a blink of your eyes. So, overall the app not only utilizes the plus points of YouTube and other channels but it also has its own goods which together raise the standards.
