Must Check Latest Fitness Apps on SmartPhones

Apps are a growing market and so is health and fitness, which ensures that there is no shortage of mobile apps available to help you get in shape. Here are a couple of the latest must have mobile fitness apps for health and fitness fanatics…

MyFitnessPal

This app, which is available for Apple, Blackberry and Android devices from retailers like www.phones4u.co.uk allows you to keep a comprehensive log of your diet. It is simple to use, requiring you only to hit the ‘add food’ button, then the one for the type of meal (breakfast, dinner etc), before typing the name of what you had into the search box. Furthermore, it is both comprehensive – featuring hundreds of thousands of foods – and accurate; breaking down each one to provide the necessary information about nutrients, fat, calories and protein. This app also allows you to keep track of your weight, and keep a record of any loss/gain and calories burned through exercise. Plus, it is free to download.

Daily Ab Workout

Another app which is accessible for all mobile devices, this one allows you to build on the previous one by setting an exercise regime for yourself, having established a balanced diet. Input data such as the length of workout you want and your chosen exercise, before following the voiceover instructions. The app also provides video instruction, so that you can be sure that you are doing the exercises correctly, and then lets you discuss the progress you are making afterwards on Twitter or Facebook. This app is available in both free and paid for form.

Nike + GPS

This one is exclusive to Apple device users, and it is designed to allow you to track your running schedule – whether it is indoor, treadmill –based running, or outdoor runs – with GPS. Although this app is not free to download, at a cost of just £1.49, it is not likely to prove prohibitively expensive for anyone and also offers access to a website for tracking your runs.
