Cook Happy-Recipe Videos : A Di’Wine’ Taste

Who doesn’t want to have a great new taste every time the plate is served! Though there are a lot of ingredients to spice up your meal, it’s difficult to find the right combination each time. Now, it’s habitual to search the web for something new that is still out of the reach of your demanding tongue. But the result isn’t refreshing always and you might end up with a sour stomach. Then, there are TV shows with the biggest Chefs revealing their secret diaries of recipes. But it’s not easy to copy that exactly in a time span of 15 minutes or so when they have many things pre-made for the show. So, it’s better if you switch to a more satisfying solution- Cook Happy!

Cook Happy-Recipe Videos is the new iOS app that has been developed by Demand Media. The app is compatible with iPad and iPad Mini only and requires iOS 6.0 or later version. When we ask for a satisfactory solution, we need it to meet the basic requirements which in this case are cooking illustrations, recipes with ingredients and cost effective. Of course, we don’t want to spend a lot for a recipe when it’s meant for the home service. This is what we get with Cook Happy.

The app is a video guide recipe book. There are videos for each of the dish with a recipe and ingredients as well. The videos are more like illustrations with the chef showing each and every step involved clearly along with written subtitles. That too is done in real-time so that you may follow the video easily without any stops.

The main point of focus is obviously ‘recipes’ and the developers have made sure they don’t underscore in that department. All the dishes are fresh, unique and seem delightful as from the first look. It’s not a remix but a fresh blend of the spices mixed with some healthy fruits and vegetables.

All the recipes have been subdivided into six main categories: Easy weeknight dinners, Sophisticated Comfort Food, Taco Fiesta, Mediterranean Dinner Party, Chic Desserts and Vegetarian Main Events. While there are 23 free recipes with each of the first four having a share, there are 33 premium paid recipes available via in-app purchases at $0.99 for 5 recipes.

The app interface is very beautiful, delightful and intuitive with some fast navigation. You can find all the videos in the ‘Collections’ section. Also, if you like a video and want to try it again, you can mark it as favorite and access directly. While watching a video, you can also see the ingredients and recipe with a single tap. The quality of the videos is amazing as well as the content.

The app is available for free in the App Store. Though there are some paid recipes as well, we see there is a lot of content for the free users. The developers are working on some more recipes as well as new features like mailing the recipes to your friends in the next updates. So, there’s a lot stuff coming ahead.
