MegaFlux : A New Definition to Pipe Gaming

by | Jan 12, 2013 | Android Apps | 0 comments

I’ve been a fan of the pipe games where we are required to do the job of a plumber. It’s quite puzzling and challenging and moreover, a lot of fun. It’s got every element of an interesting game and one of the most popular concepts for the developers to generate a good amount of revenue. But no matter how good the concept is, it is finally outdated after some time. So, there need to be some constant changes and modifications in the original drink to keep the addiction alive. I guess this is what SoFresh Games have managed to do with MegaFlux.

MegaFlux is the new Android app that has been developed by SoFresh Games. The app is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 or later version. Now, when I’m saying that the app developer has brought out something new to the users, then I mean it. Starting with the original concept, the app requires you to connect different nano-pipes by tapping them and turning them. Now, what happens in the traditional games is that as soon as you solve the puzzle of connecting the pipes, the water enters and you are done. It’s nothing more than the simple job of a plumber. So, let’s add some more interesting technical elements.

Actually, in MegaFlux you have to power some processors with different colored flux. There are some elements connecting the pipes that you have to place. These elements are available on the bottom of the screen and you have to choose wisely on how to choose them. The different elements change the color of the flux. Also, there are some processors which have the color marked on them as to which color should enter from which side. This way, it becomes more than just a piping puzzle.

There are two game modes: relax and challenge. In relax mode, you can choose the difficulty level and there are many different stages available. In the challenge mode, the situation goes a bit tricky with many different elements to be placed as soon as possible. The clock is always running against you. You can choose out of many different levels available. There is another mode called Editor where you can create your own levels.

The graphics of the app are beautiful but not to be boast about, very similar to other apps. There is much detail on the screen for a crisp feeling. Other than the gameplay, you have 66 medals to achieve and you can also compare your scores with the other players.

Overall, I would rate this app next down to the best. It’s for everyone out there. It’s available for free and just the last excuse not to miss it. I don’t think anyone can afford to miss out on this one. But still, if you want to be more on the safer side, you can check out the video demo of the app. But I don’t think it will be changing your decision.
