Everybody loves to have a pet animal and on the top of that list come dogs. But why’s that? Maybe because they are obedient, faithful, sweet and always ready to play with you. I mean if you have a dog in your house, you can never expect yourself to get bored. They’re very active and full of energy. Though it’s not valid for all the dogs, but yes they do protect you or at least they bark out loud when they see any suspicious activity going around them. So when this pet is so helpful, why shouldn’t it be loved the most! After all, what do they ask for in return? A bone and nothing else! We can provide that much to our lovely good puppy. Can’t we? Well, if you think the same, then you shouldn’t find much difficulty in finding one!
I am talking about the latest iOS app called Good Puppy Dig that has been developed by Marina Tito. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.
The hero of this app is Roger, a well intentioned and enthusiastic puppy. But you have to use its energy in a very efficient manner or else, it will run out of energy and your game is over. But what’s the game? You have to dig as deep as possible before Roger runs out of energy. So you have to be quick but as they say, always drive with your eyes open because accidents can happen anytime. In this game as well, you have to be cautious because when you’re digging, there are some hypnotic crystals placed in your way and if you touch them, Roger will go to a deep sleep. You can avoid them as there are two routes to digging; left and right and you have to tap accordingly. But the most important factor of the game is obviously: bone. Yes, Roger is digging to find the bones and if you can’t find them, you’ll lose the energy. So the more bones you take the more energy you accumulate and the deeper you can dig.
The game is not just about digging again and again and trying to beat your old high score. There are rewards for you at regular checkpoints and if you get enough bones or dig deep enough, you can even unlock new scenarios for you such as the winter season where Roger will be wearing a new winter suite. So there’s a lot more to explore as you proceed further in the game.
The graphics of this app are sharp and delicate. There is grace in every scene and Roger itself is very cute. He’s just like the detective dog that you might have seen in cartoons and the overall impact of this game for me is “thumbs up”. So what are you waiting for? The app’s available for free in the App Store and if you want to remove the ads, add $0.99 to that base price.
Pros: delicate and graceful graphics; addictive gameplay; unlock new scenarios; free.
