Happy Wheels – Keep Your Helmet On

by | Sep 7, 2015 | iPhone /iPad Apps | 0 comments

The game that attracted millions of eyeballs within days of it being launched as a flash game on the internet is now live on App Store. If you haven’t heard of it, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you have, then don’t boast about it; you’re not alone!

I’m talking about the internet sensation turned iOS-Rockstar called Happy Wheels developed by Jim Bonacci. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

Now let me first tell you that this is not the full-fledged version of the online version; it’s just a part of it. But even this small part is enough to keep you glued to the screen for a long time. And the developers are planning to roll out more parts of the game very soon. So you just focus on the mission you have in your hand. Once it’s done, others will automatically be awarded to you!

Here you have a Professional Business Guy riding a personal transporter. Now this is a thing with all of Happy Wheels’ Avatars. They are unique, quirky and a little bit twisted. But what’s even more twisted is the challenge lying ahead of you. After you start, there are many random obstacles like spikes, harpoons, wrecking balls, etc and with a transporter carrying you, you’re certain to tackle them with a definite speed. So a proper control over this speed is an ability you must cultivate with time. Apart from the obstacles, there are far more complex puzzles that you have to take care of. On your way, you have to assimilate the possibilities that a particular arrangement, you’re about to encounter, will have. So while you’re on the run, there are far many things that you have to take care of other than just worrying about your awkward choice of vehicle!

At each level, your sole mission is to find the exit. Once you reach that gate, you can take a breath of relief. There are total of 15 levels and with each level on an average taking 5 retries to complete, you can say that you have 75 levels of gameplay. But apart from a challenging gameplay, this game gives you the smoothest ride you could imagine. The animations are super-smooth and despite so many obstacles, you’d feel as if you’re going on a ditch-less road that is as smooth as glass.

Another interactive feature of this game is that it gives you the right to create your own levels. So if you’re good at making puzzles, then all the elements are available to you and you only have to pick them and place wherever you want. It’s real fun!

So overall, I would say that Happy Wheels is a game that you must give a try to. The app is available for free in the App Store. So don’t forget to check it out!

Pros: smooth animations; 15 levels of gameplay; challenging and addictive puzzles; twisted characters; free.

Cons: none.
