FIFA Superstars provides a useful tutorial to help beginners learn and navigate the app. You meet your soccer team and recruit new players to make your team even better. You can only pick bronze players at first, but as you progress through FIFA Superstars and win more soccer matches, you unlock silver and gold players. Assign your best players to their preferred position, and have substitutes ready just in case one of your players needs to hit the bench.
Now you’re ready for a match. Pick between Pro, National, or Social leagues, or choose the match predictor. In FIFA Superstars, you cannot see the match happening as in watching your players physically playing on the soccer field. There are two halves to the game. If you don’t want to wait for the final results, skip to the end of the match. At the end of each match, you can read the match summary and see your highest performing player and lowest performing player. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to either kick him off the team or train him.
For every match you win, you get three points. If the match ends in a draw, you get one point. And if you lose, well… you won’t be doing any losing will you? Well if your luck is down and you do lose you get no points. Obviously it is best to win as many matches as possible. Winning will get you more rewards, coins, match credits, and elite players. Leveling up unlocks more coins, more match credits, and more rewards such as seating for your stadium.
FIFA Superstars wants you to have the best team, so it provides a training option that will improve your team’s skills and rating. Some training is free, but some such as shooting practice and full practice cost gold coins and will take up to twenty four hours to complete. When training is complete, you will need to collect training points in a timely matter or they will disappear. I don’t remember that from high school soccer practice. Stadium upgrades such as passing arcs and training dummies will also improve your rating, but they are expensive. So, win those matches and collect your gold!
FIFA Superstars is well designed in the visuals and music department, however, the fact that you cannot physically see your matches is disappointing. But because you get to train your players and see your rating increase, you begin to care about your team and care about progressing to tougher matches. If you continue to train your team, they will become FIFA superstars.
