I recently joined a company to start the professional phase of my life. I was first very excited to join the company and give my 100percent to be recognized as one of the best employees in the organization. But as soon as I stepped there for the first time, it’s not the same as I had thought it to be. I am busy from the start to the end and the 1 hour of lunch seems more to be a minute with the clock running at twice the speed. But amidst this busy schedule, I have to regularly check for my shifts as well. It keeps on changing and it’s my duty to update myself. Also I need to keep track of my payments so that I can maintain my expenses as well. So, I searched for a tool and I think I’ve ended with the right one, Paywatch.
I am talking about the new iOS app, Paywatch that has been developed by Mobilation PTY Ltd. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later version of the OS. The app works for all the employees no matter which type of organization you are working for. All you need to do is fill in some details and you are good to be benefit ted from it.
The app actually keeps track of all your shifts with the inbuilt calendar and moreover calculates your monthly payments as well. You can keep hold of maximum 3 jobs at a time. Each job has different inputs such as normal hour rate, overtime rate, weekend rate, etc. After that, you need to create different shifts. Each shift contains a name, symbol, normal working time, lunch time, etc. After creating all these shifts, you have to assign the different shifts to the days in the calendar. The app also helps you calculate weekly and monthly payments.
The UI of the app is very intuitive and easy to use. Just simply tap on each field and enter the details. All the required details have been included which cover almost all types of job patterns so that you don’t have to manually arrange for something not available there. The different symbols available for the shifts help you differentiate them easily. There is just one problem that all the payments are available only in dollars. There is no other currency included in the app. This can be a problem as you’ll have to recalculate your income again after conversion to your currency.
The app is available for $0.99 in the App Store. That’s a pretty fair price for this revenue calculator as it’s quite easy to use and holds a good utility power. Working people don’t have enough time for these kinds of apps as they take a lot of time for entering the values and same is this one as well but the time it saves later and headache it prevents is far more superior to this one. So, I would recommend this app to everyone out there.
Pros: intuitive UI; 3 different jobs at a time; calculates payments as well.
Cons: only $ is available as the currency.
