Bit Torrent is one of the most common protocols used for file sharing over the internet. In fact, having more than 150million active users, the protocol at any instant has more no. of users than the total of YouTube and Facebook combined together and there is a reason for it. It allows downloading any type of file whether it is a movie, song, software or a book in PDF format. You just type the name of the file and there will be a no. of clients shown to you. Other than Torrent, there is no such client available on the internet which provides you free download without any terms and conditions.

The app opens to nothing-there is no interface at the home screen when you first install the app. tap the menu button to look for more options. You can search for any torrent file from the app itself but first you’ll have to install the Transdroid search engine. As soon as you install it, you can search for any type of file and results will be sorted in the order of total no. of seeds available so that you get the best downloading speed. Then, tap the torrent file you want to download and select the files in it. You can also subscribe to RSS feeds for downloading new files that are added to the monitored site.
The user interface of the app is pretty similar to the PC version. As you add any torrent, it will be displayed on the screen with the completion progress being shown. The flexibility with using torrent is something you won’t find anywhere else. You can start, stop or pause the downloading at any moment or even delete it. In fact, you can change the file location in between the downloading and resume it again with the same progress. However, the app has some restrictions as well. First, it is only available for downloading on a Wi-Fi connection; though you can also opt for WiMax. Second, the maximum size of a file that can be downloaded to a FAT32 formatted SD card is 4GB. But there is no such limitation for other file formats.
The app is available in two different versions – lite and pro; the latter having the official publisher as 3D Magic Kft. While the lite version is free, it allows a maximum download speed of 250 kB/s only. There is no such restriction in the pro version.
The app is really useful and the only app in the store we guess that avails free downloading from the web. It is easy to use, flexible and should reach the same heights as the PC version.
